Worship with us.
We meet in person and on Zoom every Shabbat.
9:00 TORAH STUDY
Our services begin with just under an hour of study of the weekly Torah portion as prescribed in the Hebrew calendar. This lively session offers an opportunity for congregants to offer their interpretations and questions following the in-depth discussion by the leader.
10:05 SERVICES
The morning worship service begins. We use our own prayer book (siddur), based on the traditional Jewish Shabbat service. The service consists of prayers in English, Hebrew, and transliteration, both recited and sung. We have a large (and growing) group of members, male and female, who chant the weekly parsha during the Torah service. This is followed by prayers for healing. The sermon (drash) given by one of our religious leaders is followed by kaddish (memorial prayers).
12:15 KIDDUSH
Following the conclusion of the service, we say the traditional blessings over wine and bread.
12:20 DAIRY / PARVE LUNCH
Our potluck lunches are a Shabbat highlight, as is our enthusiastic singing of the Birkat Hamazon after the meal. Following lunch, a member of our leadership team often interviews a member of our congregation, or a special guest, allowing us to get to know one other in more depth.
2:00 CONCLUSION
We follow the Jewish calendar, and meet every Shabbat. Our services include Torah study and discussion, followed by worship services, Kiddush, and a potluck lunch.
